We'll talk with you about the problem that you're having with the brakes, usually we'll take it for a small test drive, then put it on the hoist, pull the wheels and examine the brakes. And since we've got nothing to hide, you're more than welcome to come out in the shop and inspect your vehicle with us. Then we'll show you what's wrong with the brakes & discuss what it'll take to fix them up right and get you an estimate.
When should you have your brakes inspected? · If you're hearing or feeling any unusual squealing or grinding noises coming from the front or rear brakes. · If the brake light on your dash comes on. · If the brake pedal feels spongy, or the pedal slowly fades to the floor while you're stopped, or if the pedal goes completely to the floor. · If you feel a pulsation in the brake pedal while you're applying the brakes. · If the brake fluid level is low, this usually indicates: worn out pads/shoes or a leak. · If your brakes just don't seem to stop the car as well as it use to. · If it's been 20,000 miles(or more) since you last had your brakes inspected. · If the pedal feels high & hard, but it's extremely hard to stop. · If, when you apply the brakes, the car wants to pull to one side(doesn't stop straight). · If the rear end of the vehicle raises up hard, & it feels like the rear brakes are locking up. · If you're noticing unusually large amounts of brake dust on the wheels. These are just some of the indicators, that you might need to get your brakes serviced, before they cause you serious problems. Remember, it's A Lot Cheaper to get new brake pads or shoes installed BEFORE the old ones wear out & start grinding the rotors or drums!
